:: DJ Biography:  2011 ::

Earlier in 2011, for just over one year, James has performed as the resident DJ for the prestigious 5 Star Hotel,  Lebua at State Tower in Bangkok,  Thailand. With 360-degree panoramic views of the city of Bangkok on the 64th Floor,  Lebua also boasts one of the world’s highest open-air restaurants.

Early 2010 saw James as the Rooftop Lounge Bar Resident DJ for the One & Only Royal Mirage,  a 5 star resort in Dubai. 2009 was also a busy one for James,  performing at events such as the massive Mini United Festival along with Paul Weller &  Calvin Harris. The year’s excursions also saw him perform in the Asian countries of Singapore &  Vietnam. 2008 saw James help launch many brand new nightclubs and lounge bars in countries such as Dubai & Egypt,  offering his expertise and performances to many luxury 5 Star hotel chains such as the Savoy,  Hilton,  Taj,  Crown Plaza,  Intercontinental,  Rotana  & Madinat Burj Dubai.

With recent global corporate events and tour brands such as Credit Suisse,  Vodafone,  Emirates Airlines,  BMW,  Mini,  Chivas Regal,  Moet,  Bacardi,  Marlboro,  L&M & Castle,  James has also performed in Africa,  Australia,  Russia,  India,  Spain,  Portugal & Ibiza in recent years.

His many London appearances have included The End,  Mass,  Fabric,  The Arches,  The Premises and Babushkas,  performing alongside DJ Ravin,  Rob Da Bank,  Coldcut,  Stereo MCs,  David Holmes,  Andy Weatherall,  Meat Katie,  Mix Master Morris,  Howie B,  Jon Pleased & FC Kahuna and many other well known acts.

Entertaining audiences from exclusive villa parties,  weddings and corporate events in London and Ibiza through to guest DJing to crowds of over 7000 people in such far flung places as Siberia in Russia.

James is also currently concentrating his efforts on numerous new music productions. The EP ‘Natural Power’ had great reactions from clubs such as Bora Bora,  Space & Amnesia in Ibiza and was featured on BBC Radio One’s DJ Pete Tong’s website as being “deep,  tribal,  chilled and very sexy,  a great dance track with a conscience!”

Currently on the roster of 7 International DJ agencies,  the UK’s Sparkle DJ Agency says about DJ James Bubblefunk:  ”His mixes are rarely very far away from the office CD deck and we can honestly say that his trademark harmonious and spiritual sound does it for us every time – “Think Buddha Bar meets Deep Dish and you get the picture!”

With his 15 years of experience,  James is just at home performing chill-out and various world music fusions to a sophisticated and intimate audience as he is the latest deep house and funky electro to a nightclub crowd. He has now become an established and versatile entertainer on the international circuit. His performances gather the people’s spirits toward a positive source to create a hypnotic and harmonious mix that will leave them bursting with emotion.
